What Does it Take to Get a Little Work Life Balance Around Here?
If you’re anything like me, I’m sure you’ve asked yourself this question before! (if not in so many words!)
I have actually experienced work life balance in my own life – I’ve felt the reality of its wonderful, blissful peace wrap around me – but when you have four kids, a husband, and a business, it doesn’t seem to take much for that kind of peace to vanish just as quickly as it came!
Maintaining a sense of balance and harmony in your life is not so easy if you continually feel yourself reacting to the slightest distractions (you know, the types of things that seem to come along every day, all day long).
You may fall prey to the regular distractions of:
- E-mail (this is my biggest distraction when working in the office!)
- Phone calls
- TV
- The kids wants and desires
- And the list goes on…
There always seem to be numerous things there to pull you away from your hard won decision to find balance in your life and the actions that you try to take which will actually give you peace of mind and help lead you to a life of peace and joy.
As a Lifestyle Fitness Coach, what I have noticed the most among women trying to find work life balance is that the failure of achieving it is not from lack of trying, but from lack of direction.
How do you really start to LIVE this process of balance and harmony?
The hard part is putting in all of the effort and not seeing any fruition. Instead of a confident, strong woman with a glow like a beautiful jewel, the spirit becomes depleted and begins to show through, causing a lackluster look in many women as that depleted spirit begins to overcome the body.
The shine is gone. The bags under the eyes begin to appear along with the slouched shoulders, poor posture and the pounds that gradually pack on.
It is exactly this cycle of low energy leading to overwhelm and exhaustion that moves you into over consumption (self medicating with poor nutrient rich food to give body energy it needs), which ultimately leads to overweight.
Today, you can begin to move away from this and start moving towards your own personal glow!
Here are 3 steps to begin to get your shine back: Read more
